Easter Gifting on the rise
This Easter, we have seen a real increase in gifting compared with last year.
More companies have been sending Easter gifts across entire teams rather than just to a handful of people. In many cases, businesses have chosen to send to all employees; a simple but effective way to thank people, mark the season and end the period before the long weekend on a positive note. It reflects a wider understanding now that gifting has a place in employee engagement and that it does not need to be saved only for Christmas or major milestones.
We have also seen more individual orders coming through for all sorts of spring gifting moments. Alongside Easter hampers, there has been strong demand for spring themed thank you gifts, new home presents and gifts sent simply because this time of year lends itself to doing something kind for someone else. Easter is becoming less about one type of product and more about the wider opportunity to send something thoughtful and well presented.
What has stood out this year is the range of reasons people are buying. Some businesses have wanted a shared gift moment across the whole company before people break up for Easter. Others have wanted to thank staff for a busy start to the year. On the consumer side, customers have been choosing gifts to say thank you, celebrate someone moving into a new home or send a seasonal present that feels fresh, uplifting and well timed.
There is also more confidence now in seasonal gifting outside the main peak periods. People are not waiting for Christmas to send something of quality. They are using other moments in the year far more naturally, and Easter is clearly becoming one of them. For businesses, it works well because it reaches people at a time when they are about to switch off and enjoy a break. For individuals, it is a good moment to send a gift that feels generous without needing a major occasion behind it.
For us, it has been encouraging to see how broad Easter gifting has become. It is not only about traditional Easter hampers, although those remain popular. It is also about spring gifting more widely; thank you presents, new home gifts, team gifts and thoughtful seasonal surprises. That change has made this Easter busier much busier than last year and more varied too. We have really enjoyed it – but we’re ready to enjoy the long weekend and recuperate.
