Top Gifts
Top Hampers started out to address a challenge most of us have faced and that is to find perfect gifts to actually reflect the intention behind them. We noticed a gap in the hamper market in particular having received less than impressive ones ourselves; and so, listening to the business gurus championing the benefits of a niche market, we set about transforming the hamper landscape. We decided to create a more modern and versatile offering of the traditional hamper whilst upholding the highest standards qualitatively. Our focus was on sourcing products that had originality, mixing and theming a far greater array of diverse products than is normally found in hampers; and adding thoughtful, personalised touches, so that the recipients felt seen and experienced the ‘wow’ factor.
As the business grew, a number of our regular clients began to ask if they could have more flexibility. They loved our hampers and wanted to access the same quality, range, presentation and personalisation, but wanted the option to build their own, to make the gifts even more personal and meaningful, for specific recipients. In response, we launched ‘build your own’ which allows clients to put together a modest hamper to a large bespoke collection, whilst still benefiting from the same presentation, and personalisation as with our ready themed hampers.
From there, demand evolved again. Some clients told us they didn’t always need a hamper at all and they simply wanted to order the products they loved, either standalone gifts or for themselves.
That’s how Top Gifts began: a way for customers to buy the same products individually, with the choice of presentation and personalisation if they’re gifting, or simply as a straightforward purchase for their own use.
What started as a response to specific client requests has grown into a significant part of what we offer. Top Gifts has become a go-to for anyone who wants access to our range without the formality of a hamper. We are in the process of further developing and expanding the range of products to make some even more suitable for Top Gifts – for example we are establishing relationships with some quality jewellers, and artisan glassware craftsmen, and high end silk accessories and other gifts. These will all be rolling out in time for Christmas.
